Our story

Built for parents, by parents

“You should write that down.”

Why we built Moment Savor

We have several young children, and people kept telling us the same thing: “You should write that down.” The funny sayings, small discoveries, and ordinary family stories arrived constantly—and disappeared almost as quickly.

We wanted a simple way to keep them without turning memory-keeping into another project. We looked for something that fit naturally into real family life. In the end, we built it.

My wife thinks of Moment Savor as a scrapbook that can hold the story behind the picture—the part a traditional scrapbook rarely has room for.

Write

Her way

She usually uses text entry, especially when recording aloud doesn’t fit: with children screaming in the background, or when she’s writing down a memory in the middle of the night.

Speak

My way

I’m more likely to speak a memory and let Moment Savor transcribe it. Both ways belong because families—and moments—are different.

Built with experience and care

I’ve spent the past decade writing software for late-stage startups. I’ve seen many of the difficulties that software-as-a-service products encounter as they grow. I love building software because it’s a way to help people, and Moment Savor lets me put that experience toward something personal.

Most importantly, I’m trying to raise children well, enjoy the process, and remember the little funny things along the way. Moment Savor is the tool we wanted for our own family, and we’re building it carefully for yours.
